City Fitness is opening two 35,000-square-foot clubs in Hoboken. Maxwell Place is targeted to open in fall 2026, and our Southend location is targeted to open in late 2026 or early 2027. Pre-sale for Maxwell Place is open now. Your Membership Agreement states an Anticipated Opening Date of October 31, 2026 — if Maxwell Place is not open for business by that date, you can cancel and receive a full refund of any amounts paid, including your $1 deposit.
You pay only $1 and sign your Membership Agreement to secure your Pre-Sale pricing at Maxwell Place. There is no further billing until the club opens — targeted for fall 2026. Pre-Sale pricing is available for a limited time. Your Agreement includes New Jersey's standard cancellation rights, described in the Consumer Notice below.
Our first Hoboken club is at 1000 Maxwell Lane, in the north end (uptown) area of Hoboken, NJ, along the Maxwell Place waterfront. A second club, Southend, will be located at 38 Jackson St, Hoboken, NJ 07030, opening in late 2026 or early 2027.
Billing begins when Maxwell Place opens, targeted for fall 2026. You pay only $1 and sign your Membership Agreement to secure your Pre-Sale pricing; your regular membership billing starts at opening.
No. Hoboken memberships include both Hoboken clubs and the future Northern New Jersey network, but do not include access to City Fitness Philadelphia locations.

When you complete your $1 enrollment, you are signing City Fitness's Membership Agreement for Maxwell Place, not just joining an interest list. Your Agreement complies with the New Jersey Health Club Services Act (N.J.S.A. 56:8-39 et seq.), including the following rights:
Three-operating-day right to cancel. You may cancel your Membership Agreement for any reason, for a full refund, at any time before midnight of the third operating day after you receive your copy of the Agreement.
Right to cancel if Maxwell Place is not open on time. Your Agreement states the date by which Maxwell Place is anticipated to open. If the club is not open for business by that date, you may cancel and receive a full refund of any amounts paid, including your $1 deposit.
Your participation in this pre-sale is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, including the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act (N.J.S.A. 56:8-1 et seq.) and the New Jersey Health Club Services Act. Nothing on this page limits any rights or remedies available to you under applicable New Jersey law.
